As the scientific community continues to conduct studies, new information is constantly coming to light in connection with CBD health benefits and some drawbacks. CBD made from ‘marijuana’ with high levels of THC, is only legal if your state has legalized marijuana. Most people have heard of THC, since it’s the component in marijuana that gets you high. In this extraction method, the hemp is exposed to high-pressure, low-temperature CO2 gas, which helps isolate and preserve the cannabinoids in the oil.
CBD actually helps protect those same brain cells and inhibits the neurotransmitters that directly contribute to seizures. There have not been any studies associating localized forms of cannabis with harmful heart rhythms. The ECS is a system of receptors and neurotransmitters that assist the body with important regulatory functions, such as mood, sleep patterns, appetite, cell production, pain response, immune response, and so many others.
While this may be the case, some people would prefer their CBD to contain no THC whatsoever, in order to avoid issues with drug testing. The oil is often diluted with olive oil or hemp seed, this can improve the dosage and the flavor. Studies suggest that cannabinoids like CBC, CBD, CBDa and THC have attributes that combat inflammation, which is a cause for migraines.
That being said, my concerns are distinct after baseline quality can be established for people who can try to use it for other marijuana CBD conditions, like pain management, and anxiety etc, although my preference would still be for it to be used under the care of a doctor, because ‘it’s still just another drug.’ I hope one day that this medicine will be able to step out of the shadows and be available to everyone that needs it and can benefit from it, in a safe and effective manner.
